The Problem

An aggressively cut hedge can cause more than just a patch of bare wood—it can take away privacy right where it's needed most. That was the case at a home in Ottawa's east end of Orleans, where two hedge rows met and a large dead section had formed after an aggressive, peak summer trimming by another company.

The Solution

Removed two pavers to make room for new trees
Planted two 6ft shaped eastern white cedars to fill the damaged section
Amended soil and added blood and bone meal for healthy root growth
Applied spring fertilizer and a cedar-specific liquid root application to stimulate recovery in existing hedges

The Outcome

The new trees immediately improved the corner, while the fertilizer continued to work its magic through the summer. With targeted, expert care, ths hedge is set up for a healthy comeback & will continue to thrive.
